Savory Quinoa Stuffing for Turkey

With this stuffing recipe, even gluten free guests can enjoy a full festive need to look for gluten free bread crumbs...look no further than your pantry for your dependable jar of quinoa!!


  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 1 c. diced onion

  • 1 c. diced celery

  • 1 c. chopped white button mushrooms

  • 3/4 c. uncooked rinsed quinoa

  • 1 1/2 c. chicken or vegetable broth

  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp dried marjoram

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Optional 1/4 c. cooked crumbled bacon


  1. Melt butter in a medium sized saucepan and saute the onion, celery and mushrooms for about 7 minutes or until tender.

  2. Add the quinoa, broth, and herbs.

  3. Cover and reduce to simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

  4. Turn off the heat and leave the covered saucepan on the burner for 7 more minutes.

  5. Toss in the parsley and bacon (if using).

  6. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
